The Spanish Passivhaus Conference (CEPH) stands as the epicenter of passive building in the Spanish-speaking world. From October 22 to 25, a diverse lineup of technicians, government representatives, manufacturers, and professionals from the sector will gather with a common goal: to drive the decarbonization of architecture. In its sixteenth edition, the Passivhaus Conference will focus on debunking myths, showcasing the true potential of timber construction, highlighting the importance of renovation, and emphasizing the crucial role of monitoring in building projects. It?s a unique opportunity for inspiration and transformation!

Grupo Lobe will be present at the 16th Spanish Passivhaus Conference, this time with two presentations by Alba Sánchez and Xema Benlloch, both Passivhaus Designers from Grupo.
Alba Sanchez will deliver a presentation on October 23 at 11:00 about the Solano Building, the first BTR project in Spain with Passivhaus certification. This innovative project, located in Valdemoro, consists of 166 homes and is distinguished by its energy efficiency and sustainability, achieving an energy consumption reduction of around 70% compared to traditional buildings. The presentation of the Solano Building at this conference highlights Grupo Lobe's commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.

On the other hand, on October 23 at 18:10, Xema Benlloch's presentation will propose various open-source software tools to calculate thermal bridges in both 2D and 3D. Its validity of use is justified with the UNE EN ISO 10211 standard, resulting in a high-precision steady-state calculation method for two-dimensional and three-dimensional thermal bridge calculations. Comparisons of real thermal bridge calculations will also be made, comparing open-source software with commercial software. With these tools, the designer can gain a deeper understanding of the building's energy behavior and make better decisions.
